A visual design studio by Janneke Hoeben

Hi and welcome to my wonderful visual Studio Pompidom world:
Where illustrations and surface patterns go beyond just a pretty picture!
I started Studio Pompidom while traveling through Europe in a campervan. Working from the road has been the perfect way to fuel my creativity, drawing inspiration from the European cities and the beauty of nature's flora and fauna. And as a surfer and swimmer living in my hometown Katwijk next to the ocean, you’ll find plenty of water-inspired details in my work too!
Work & Education
My journey in design began in Utrecht, where I studied Design at HKU (Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht).
I started out as a fashion designer, but I fell in love with illustration and pattern design. While developing these skills working for various studios and brands across the Netherlands, in both full-time positions and freelance projects, I also completed my MA in Crossover Creative Design.
With Studio Pompidom, I focus on creating unique surface art and illustrations for a variety of products, including books, jigsaws, textiles, stationery, wallpapers and special projects. Ask me to draw what’s in your mind, and I’ll turn it into something just a little prettier for you!
Clients
As a professional (pattern) designer I've worked for De Bijenkorf, Oilily World, and Pip Studio.
As a freelance illustrator, I’ve collaborated with Verbeek Designs, Days of Bloom, Van Gogh Museum, Ahold, Hunkemöller, HMS Host, Schiphol Europe, and Uitgeverij Nieuw Amsterdam.
And this is how my studio started...
